Jim’s passion for Hot Rods and Kustoms started at an early age finding his passion for early Fords. Now armed with Jims 25+ years experience working on his own and customers Hot Rods along with our staff members being lifelong hot-rodders we know what works.
Royal Kustoms have built many show winning cars over the years, including cars that have featured in magazines worldwide, but it’s not all about the ‘Show’ you have got to have a bit of ‘Go’ too. Having gained a reputation for building early Fords that are fast, reliable and drive-able we can build the car that’s right for you.
Many of our customer’s cars and engines have raced at Pendine Sands and have been taking part in hill climbs and sprints as well as drag racing. Some holding class records at Pendine, winning the HSA hill climbing championship and previously holding the quickest street driven Flathead record for many years.
We offer a full build service for your vintage Hot Rod needs, including chassis building using our purpose built chassis table, engine rebuild service specialising in the Famous Ford Flathead, sheet metal fabrication including louvers, early Ford axle building and early Ford axle conversions with 9” half shafts and locker diffs, brake conversions and gearbox conversions.
